Baird Student Council to host VETERANS DAY Assembly and Luncheon on NOVEMBER 13

Posted Date: 10/20/25 (4:29 PM)

The Baird Bear Band has qualified for the Texas State UIL Marching contest, which will be held on Tuesday, November 11 in San Antonio. Due to the number of students who will be participating in the marching contest, the school has decided to reschedule this years Veterans Day Assembly and Luncheon.

The Baird High School Student Council will be hosting its annual Veterans Day Assembly on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 11 a.m. in the High School Auditorium. Immediately following there will be a luncheon for all Veterans, Active Duty Military and their families in the Rock Gym. We look forward to seeing you and honoring you as we celebrate Veterans Day.

Each year we do a slideshow of our veterans and active duty military personnel. We have been adding to this slideshow for many years and each year we become aware of veterans that we have left out. If you are a Veteran or have family members or friends who have served or are currently serving in the military, we want your/their picture to be included in our slideshow. We will scan the picture and return it to you or you can email the pictures to pgrimes@bairdisd.org . Please include name, rank, branch of service and where they served. Please help us get the word out so we don’t miss anyone. (We would appreciate having the pictures no later than November 7th to allow us time for production.)

Our students do an excellent job with this program and we want to make sure we are honoring all of our heroes.
